Forbes Magazine has released its new set of figures for the year. I've been following this list for many years now, because my dream is to be on that list one day. Don't laugh. If these men can make it, why can't anyone else?
The richest Malaysian is still Tan Sri Robert Kuok, ranking at 104th richest man in the world with a nett worth of USD7 billion (RM24.52 billion). Now that's a looooooooot of money.
The second richest Malaysian is Maxis and Astro's owner Tan Sri Ananda Krishnan with a cool nett worth of USD6 billion (RM21.02 billion).
Owning USD4.2 billion (RM14.72 billion) in personal assets, Genting's Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong is Malaysia's third richest man.
The other Malaysians on the Forbes' list are:
The richest man in the world is still Bill Gates, with a nett worth of USD56 billion (RM196.2 billion). And all because of this intangible thing you're probably using right now: microsoft.
What's the moral of my story? All of these men were born into humble families. Yet they all made it into the Forbes' list through sheer hard work, determination, shrewd business acumen and foresight.
I want to be like them too. So can you. Let's start making some money instead of bickering about dresses :-)

Nikki drew a caricature of AC Mizal during today's shooting of his hugely popular talk-show, AC DI SINI. Nikki was invited to be a guest artiste on the show.

that list has not change for a very long time kan. mesti seronok kalau jadi kaya kan. orang cakap, the hardest things to get is the first million, after that the second million will be a piece of cake.

I thank myself for not contributing to Mr. Gates riches anymore. Since 3 years ago, I've been a full fledged Mac user, and use alternative office suite to do my work. Hahah.
With almost every home PC user in Malaysia is using pirated Microsoft software, he could still come up as the richest man in the world. Imagine if everyone buys the original....
That being said, piracy IS STILL stealing no matter how one tries to justify it.
If I were Mr. Gates, I'd say, "Nevermind-lah... kira halal lah..." :-D
