ape pun, i really hope maya will be there again next year at the oscar red carpet. at least, she has the pesona and charisma to carry out the big task. i believe in her more than linda. sorry linda...better luck next time at ERA red carpet...:D

What happened? Was she deleted from the scene? Or she was at the red carpet but was not fit for Malaysian audience... u know la, kenot dedah sikit.

somehow agree with anonymous.... would think maya or even sarimah would do a better job on the red carpet...these hollywood folks 'speak a diff language' ... bukan senang nak faham what they are saying... cant blame linda if she chickens out...

The real problem was... baju LInda tak sempat siap. That Malaysian designer mau buat baju ala-ala perempuan joget dengan sulam manik dan labuci (typical Malaysian punya style). Unfortunately, bekalan manik dan labuci tak cukup. That designer needs 11 kati. The pembekal can only supply 8 kati. Blame Bernard C for this, sebab dia dah guna 5 kati untuk baju Siti pi Emmy Awards.
So, upon hearing that the supply of labuci and manik tidak memenuhi piawai.. this one pegawai kerajaan cepat-cepat telefon ASTRO dan bagi 'advice': no manik and labuci, no Linda on Oscar.
Basically, that is how the tragedy goes. It's not funny ok! It's sad. Very.
kalau betul apa yg REM cakap tu, memang sad...really really very sad. It has become a political thing...and everyone knows how smelly politic is...

I think Linda is the one here going to smell like roses in this very shitty of incidence. If all the speculations are true, then Linda have showed the highest degree of professionalism, as she has sticked to her principles and then kept the promised that she made to her choice of designer. The intervention that was made by the powers higher up in the food chain is just embarrassing and to be honest smack of xenophobia.

Aiyah some people are accusing Linda as if they know every single thing with what has happened to her. The best thing is: let things cool down first, and hear from the horse's mouth. Itu aja.. tak susah kan?
Btw.. I give the benefit of doubt to Linda because so far, she has been professional in a lot of things.
Oh wow! this issue is getting smellier and smellier by the moment...but i'm sure it'll be swept under the carpet, if it is really true some 'big names' are involved...kalau linda tak komen the obvious when she comes home esok, then we know lah all the rumors are not merely rumors, tapi kenyataan....
rasanya linda jadik 'mangsa keadaan'...kita ni timun, cik linda oii....depa tu durian...tapi kadang2 timun pun blh menang, kalau durian nak cover 'bau' dia...good analogy, huh
I was so disappointed yg Star Movies tak kasi Linda Onn pakai baju Jovian Mandagie. What's wrong with that dress? Biar pi la dia nak pakai apa pun kan? Last year, Maya Karin pakai BCBG Max Azria, tp takde siapa kecoh pun! Is it becoz she is Maya Karin? Kenapa lak tahun nie produser timbulkan isu baju? Tapi, that replacement dress tu kan, frankly speaking, if i were Linda Onn, i pun taknak pakai gak....hehehe. Tak rela masuk Oscars Worst Dress List...hihi
hmm.. ada udang di sebalik mee kot.. :D instead of isu pasal baju..there might be another reason of rejection.. prolly she couldn't speak english so well.. :P no offense.. but I think all M'sian artist should be good in English too.. though am not really a pro English speaker I am..
